Hayfa Charity Hospital (HCH)
Hayfa Charity Hospital (HCH) is a leading Palestinian non-profit, non-governmental organisation involved in medical care, specialised services as well as health awareness & support. HCH was founded in 2003, in response to the high demand of medical services in the Municipality of Gaza. The hospital is situated in central Gaza where the total population is over 2 million Palestinians, many of which are from low-income households.
The Association’s Services are not limited to providing only medical services, HCH are continuously expanding on health education and human development, providing first aid courses, raising awareness on chronic diseases as well as undertaking medical research to overcome life-threatening illnesses.

Your continuous generosity helped GRF provide lifesaving medical aid to over 540,000 beneficiaries during the most challenging times. Your support in the last 3 years alone enabled us to provide urgent relief by distributing vital medications and medical devices to performing limb reconstruction and spinal surgeries.

GRF are working with HCH to expand their medical services and introduce Hayfa Eye Hospital, where we will be working with partners on establishing, finishing and equipping the hospital to provide advanced eye care for our Palestinian brothers and sisters in need.

HCH will provide eye care services for up to 1700 beneficiaries per month, providing routine eye checks and prescription glasses as well as performing major surgeries for those suffering from Glaucoma, Cataracts, Corneal and other Retinal issues. From this expansion, Hayfa Eye Hospital will include outpatient clinics, operating theatres with state of the art medical equipment using modern technology that specialist doctors will be able to use when performing life changing surgeries such as:
- Lensectomy
- Entropion + Ectropion
- Pterygium with Graft
- Trabeculectomy
- Phacoemulsification
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Laser Capsulotomy
The proposed project intervention will contribute in meeting the growing demand in eye care services which has seen a surge since the pandemic, with increasing pressure on healthcare providers in Palestine.
This project will also create over 100 job opportunities for the Gazan community who are currently facing alarming rates of unemployment in the country. HCH will be employing architects, engineers, doctors and nurses along with specialist teams who will work together to alleviate the suffering of the less fortunate.
