Innocent Syrian Children Are Born Refugees
make their lives a little easier
The Syrian conflict has created one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. There are now over 10 million Syrians displaced, with no shelter, warm clothing or food, and this number is constantly growing. Many have fled to neighbouring Lebanon and Jordan to escape the devastation and save their families.
Living in tents and abandoned buildings, they have very few possessions and little or no money. The regions also face some of the harshest winters, and with no warm clothing to protect themselves, they are vulnerable to frostbite, hypothermia and death.
Every year, thousands of innocent Syrian children are born refugees, knowing of no other reality, besides displacement, poverty and hunger. They yearn to have a carefree childhood and to stay in school, yet their dire situations mean they often miss out on the joys of being young, instead worrying about where their next meal will come from. Many are forced out of school and into work to help their struggling families survive, thus missing out on the chance of a good education.
We have the ability to transform the lives of vulnerable Syrian refugees, by providing them with food, shelter, education and healthcare.
Please donate what you can to make their lives a little easier.
Millions of Syrians and Palestinians have been made refugees due to the ongoing conflicts there. Lebanon & Jordan now house them, and unfortunately, many of them are orphaned children. GRF want to make sure that these children are clothed, fed and get to go to school so they can have a brighter future.
Build a Home
Many Syrian and Palestinian refugees that have fled to Lebanon & Jordan, live there as refugees without full citizenship. This means they do not benefit from the same rights as native citizens, making it extremely difficult to seek employment and career opportunities. This has left millions grappling with poverty and living in improvised and unsafe shelters. Homes are often made using old scrap wood and metal and are insufficient to protect them from the weather outside.
GRF build good quality shelters for these families so they finally have a place to call their own.
Syrian and Palestinian children have endured horrific ordeals living in the midst of conflict and violence. Many have witnessed unimaginable things and suffered trauma that will last them a life-time. They have lost parents, homes, schools and some have even been seriously injured, and have lost limbs. Now living as refugees with little money and few possessions, life can be miserable.
At GRF we try to ensure that these children, at least, get to rejoice on Eid day. This gives them the chance to forget their plight for a short time and simply enjoy the celebration.
For just £30, you can put a smile on the face of an orphaned or needy child with a special gift on Eid day.
Most refugees in Lebanon & Jordan are unemployed and fully reliant on assistance to obtain food and other resources. This means that when they are sick, they are unable to visit a hospital and get treated because they cannot afford the cost. They often suffer in silence as their conditions deteriorate and they lack the means to do anything about it.
Our healthcare project aims to end this needless suffering by ensuring refugees are treated properly during their times of sickness and difficulty.
Winter Clothing Project
The suffering of Lebanon and Jordan’s refugees is only exacerbated by the onset of winter. As freezing cold weather, snow, heavy rainfall and flooding cause mass devastation to the disadvantaged communities, they are left susceptible to sickness and even death.
Every year, as winter looms, Global Rahmah Foundation begin distributing vital supplies to helpless refugees, ensuring they are prepared for the tough month ahead. We make sure they have all the necessary resources to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Fuel for Gas Burners
As the only heat source for thousands, gas burners are commonly used to keep warm and to cook with. Unfortunately, they require fuel and many are left with no heat when they cannot afford it. We supply and refill fuel tanks for burners so families can keep warm in the harsh winters.
Women’s Education Centre
We provide Syrian and Palestinian women with an opportunity to expand their learning. We teach them to read, write and broaden their understanding as living in the refugee camps leaves them with little or no education. They learn the basics so they can help their children with their schoolwork, go on to higher education and even find a job to support themselves & their families.
We provide people with the opportunity to cater to the needs of their family by providing them with a food cart they can use to sell various foods. The money they make can be used to support themselves. This scheme allows families to get out of the cycle of depending on charity and live a dignified and proud life.
