75% Of People Live Below The Poverty Line
Millions of people in Pakistan are food insecure
Following the earthquake in 2005, and subsequent floods in 2010 & 2011, Pakistan has suffered immensely due to catastrophic natural disasters, leaving its residents in turmoil. Pakistan has also been fighting against terrorism, suffering devastating bomb blasts, killing hundreds of innocent civilians. 40% of Pakistan continues to live below poverty line. Especially in the province of Sindh, where a shocking 75% of people live below the poverty line.
To assist the vulnerable, GRF are providing basic necessities to help those in dire need, including food parcels, water pumps and Qurbani.
With staggering unemployment rates, homelessness and poverty, millions of people in Pakistan are food insecure, being unable to source even a single meal in the day.
GRF’s food parcel project ensures those suffering from extreme hunger and destitution are assisted throughout the year.
A food parcel contains long life, nutritious food items to last a family of 6 up to one month.
GRF works within communities and villages in Pakistan to install water pumps for their residents. These communal water pumps are used daily by those in need for many years to come, ensuring they have access to clean, safe drinking water, thus minimising the risk of water borne infections which jeopardise the health of so many in the region.
Our water projects are also Sadaqah Jariyah applicable, meaning those who donate will continue to be rewarded for a life-time and in the hereafter!
By donating in the name of a loved one, alive or deceased, you can gift them an eternity of reward!
When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqa Jariyah (ceaseless charity), knowledge which is beneficial, and a virtuous descendant who prays for him
